| Meditations allows one to access higher states
consciousness.
Certain meditative states
contain intuitive understandings that, in the raw states, are not in
the form of language. It’s kind of difficult to describe them
in words; nevertheless these ‘inner-knowing’ can be
expressed approximately in human language format. However, the worded/
translated versions invariably cannot replicate the original nuance.
Somehow, the original ‘taste’ or
‘feel’ of the experiences can never be captured in
words. In my experience, there is a common
obstacle to higher experiences. That is, one may not move beyond the
mental thoughts, if one is thinking too much. If you are the
persistently reasoning type, you will not get very far, when you try to
analyze things in the meditation. Mental activities and expectation put
a limit on how far one’s consciousness can go. For me, it was
better to keep an open mind before sitting down to meditate.
